London Soundproofing Pro is a specialist acoustic contractor based in Carshalton, working across Greater London. We soundproof walls, floors, ceilings and dedicated rooms — from Victorian flat conversions to home studios and home cinemas — with systems that deliver measurable dB reductions, not vague promises.

What we do

We design and install full soundproofing systems for residential and small commercial spaces in London:

  • Walls — independent walls, resilient bar systems, batten systems, acoustic plasterboard.
  • Floors — floating floor systems, acoustic underlay, mass-loaded vinyl for impact and airborne noise.
  • Ceilings — resilient bar ceilings and independent ceiling systems for flats with noisy upstairs neighbours.

Every job starts with a site visit so we can hear the problem, measure the space and recommend the system that will actually solve it — not the most expensive one.

How we measure success

We work to UK Building Regulations Part E where applicable — the standard requires separating walls to achieve a minimum DnTw of 43 dB (airborne) and separating floors 45 dB (airborne) / L’nT,w ≤ 62 dB (impact). Where a client’s concern is daily liveability rather than regulation, we benchmark against BS 8233, which recommends indoor ambient noise of 35 dB LAeq in bedrooms during the day.

We talk in real numbers because that’s what you can hear: a like-for-like plasterboard overboard gives ~13 dB improvement, a resilient bar wall ~17 dB, a batten wall ~21 dB, a full independent wall up to ~26 dB — and the right choice depends on the wall construction, room size, and what budget the project can justify.

Daniel has spent years focused on acoustics across London — he walks into a room and notices the buzz from the fridge, the hum through a party wall, and the way hard flooring makes every footstep land twice. Soundproofing is less about materials and more about what a properly quiet room does to your day, and that’s the perspective he brings to every survey.
